Vehicles in Germany's City Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Officers mentioned they were alerted by a man who found a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish liquid

Approximately 50 vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were marked, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.

Officers report they were notified late on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been applied in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then located numerous other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement state preliminary tests show the liquid was most likely human blood.

"Currently there is no clue as to its origin; authorities are not yet aware of any injuries in association with the incident," they added.

City officials announced they were attempting "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the public for tips.

An important political figure said the attack made him speechless and needed to be addressed promptly.

"This event hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the pain of the extremist terrorist attack five years ago," he stated on online, recalling the killing of nine people by a shooter aiming at individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
